The Stanley Group at 3130 Noel Court, Pearland, Texas.

My husband and I choose The Stanley Group in anticipation of having our home sold by professionals. I am sure that Mr. Stanley is nice and this review is not based on him, but his wife. Apparently Mr. Stanley has been ill and his wife who works with him has been handling the sale of our house. We had to move to another state promptly and there are a few things in our home that mildly needs to be cared for (checking the pool, etc.). We asked Mrs. Stanley if we needed to continue to keep our hired pool staff, or housekeeper to keep an eye on the house, she told us no and stated that she could handle keeping an eye out on our home, she offered, which we felt was both generous and kind. We have been gone a little over a month and my house keys are missing from the lock box and she has no idea who has them when she and other real estate agents are the ONLY persons with the code (My Husband and I do not even have access to the lock box). That is issue 1.

2. Apparently our plumbing broke with our sprinkler system, of course she called and my husband asked if we needed to hire a plumber or if she could recommend one (with us paying of course), she said that she would send out a plumber. She called us over a week later asking us when we were sending a plumber in. We reminded her that she told us that she was sending in someone (with us paying). She did not recall telling us that.
3. Because she has no access to our house after losing our keys and we are in another state, she needs a spare key; my Mother who lives close by agreed to meet with her to give her the key. My Mother complained and said she was rude and “snubby” towards her, and that Mrs. Stanley told my Mother that she does not need to be doing all of this and this is not in the contract and complained.
4. This brings me to issue number 4; I called Mrs. Stanley to discuss my dissatisfaction in her behavior towards my Mother who is only trying to be helpful. It is not my Mothers fault that The Stanley group lost my keys and cannot place them so they have to pick up a copy from my Parents, it is not my Mothers fault that the plumbing to the sprinkler system broke, and Mrs. Stanley should have told us to HIRE someone if and when it became too much for her to handle. I feel that my husband and I have been up-front, we asked her up-front if we needed to hire someone to keep an eye on the house, she said no. During my phone conversation with her when I confronted her behavior and asked her to please be polite to my Mother and locate our missing house keys which are The Stanley Groups responsibility, she hung up on me, the conversation did not last a minute and she did not pick up when I tried calling back. I will admit, I was harsh and frustrated in my tone, but I did not use profanities and I feel that I had every right to state my dissatisfaction.

I understand we all have our issues, personal, business, etc. And I am sorry that she is having personal issues, but professionally I would NOT recommend The Stanley Group from our experience. We have an offer so we are hoping to just get through this. In the past my Husband and I have used Coldwell Banker; I think I will stick to them.
